Best Restaurants in Waconia, MN

We’re back to small town Minnesota! Having visited all of the states in the Midwest, I feel like Minnesota has some of the best rural towns and rural culture. Of course, I’m definitely biased since I’m originally from Minnesota, but I’ll stand by what I said.

Seeing as I grew up visiting all of these places, one might think that I would have at least a few pictures of at least one of these spots. Unfortunately, that is not the case, so no pictures this week, just a picture of a delicious plate of french toast.

Bode Gray’s

A high-class and finer dining experience than the majority of places in town, Bode Gray’s is an excellent restaurant for a nice dinner with family or friends. It also has a speakeasy around the back of the building, so it’s quite a fun spot to explore.

The Garage

If it’s a weekend night and you’re interested in experiencing the culture of the rural Midwest, The Garage is the place to be. Complete with awning windows that they keep open in the summertime and a bowling alley in the back, this is the spot if you’re looking to get a taste of this small community.

Lola’s Lakehouse

Lola’s is one of the biggest staples of the community, and rightfully so. It sits right on the shore of Lake Waconia, with a stunning view looking out over the water and plenty of small town charm.

Pangea Cafe

Pangea is easily the best brunch spot in town, with tons of character and incredible food. The cafe has two levels, with a mezzanine-like second floor looking over the interior of the establishment. It’s super quaint and cozy, and it’s the perfect spot to grab brunch on a cold winter morning.

I highly recommend the Wally’s French Toast.
