And we’re back with another installment in the Denver coffee shops series! I think after this post I’ll pretty much have visited every coffee shop in the Highlands neighborhood, so let me know in the comments which Denver neighborhood I should cover next.
You can check out the first installment in this series here.
Cherry Bean Specialty Coffee
Cherry Bean is a nice coffee shop in a quiet part of the neighborhood, with small-town vibes that make it a great spot for a chill afternoon. It’s pretty far from any major highways or anything, so it makes for a great area to hang out in.
Coffeegraph
Coffeegraph is a very rustic Indonesian specialty coffee shop that has a ton of character and always has a great atmosphere. Everyone is super nice, the work-from-home crowd is great, and the place always feels very warm and lively.
They also give the shop a Harry Potter theme every winter, so that’s really cool.
Little Owl Coffee
Personally, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Little Owl, but the decorations and design of the coffee shop are cool enough to recommend a visit. The shop has a unique earthy vibe yet while still being minimalist, and it’s an interesting design that really just makes you think. There’s really no other way to describe it.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of this shop because the interior was pretty small and it gets a ton of sunlight later in the day, which wouldn’t normally be a problem but the blinds that they use aren’t strong enough and the interior just gets blasted by bright light. Like you’ll want to wear your sunglasses inside kind of bright light.

Middle State Coffee
Middle State is a great coffee shop on 32nd Ave, with tasty coffee and excellent service. It’s a nice and cozy spot to get some work done, and their seasonal drinks are some of the best I’ve ever had. My favorite was their orange mocha that they had this spring, it was like an orange coffee dreamsicle.

Tony P’s
If you’re looking for a good spot to get work done or just hang out, Tony P’s is the place to be. It’s sort of a vintage Italian coffee shop, restaurant and bar all packed into one, which makes it nice if your work stretches longer than expected then you can grab a bite to eat while you’re there. Then perhaps you need a drink after a long day of work, so you order a cocktail. The possibilities are endless.
