Top Happy Hour Spots in Denver’s Highlands Neighborhood

Denver is growing at an alarming rate – and the prices are reflecting that. So, if you’re in the Highlands part of town and looking for some relatively more affordable restaurant/bar options for happy hour, I’ve compiled a list of places to go.

Bartaco

If you’re looking for delicious juice-based cocktails and tacos, then Bartaco is the place to go. Their juice is freshly squeezed right in front of you, and their cocktails are extra refreshing after a long day of work. I highly suggest getting some chips and queso and chilling out for a bit.

Cart-Driver

Cart-Driver is a cozy yet relatively upscale restaurant with a great bang for your buck during happy hour. We got a sandwich, a pizza and two drinks and it was $60 after tip. It’s also nice because the food will fill you up and can serve as a full meal, unlike most happy hour spots.

Highland Tavern

Highland Tavern is a great place to go for happy hour because all bottles and cans are $1 off and they’re already only $5-8. Those are some borderline Midwest prices right there. Unfortunately, they don’t have any food on their happy hour menu though.

Señor Bear

Señor Bear is only a block away from Bartaco, and it has some great cocktails for only $8-9 during happy hour. Their coldbrew-tini actually wasn’t a terrible take on an espresso martini. They also have $5 tequila shots if you’re looking for a little more excitement. Their happy hour food is tasty, but the portions aren’t big enough to fill you up.

Tony P’s

Tony P’s happy hour is mostly just drinks and no food, but their food prices aren’t super expensive to begin with. They have some delicious spritzes and cocktails on the happy hour menu, and those paired with one of their tasty woodfired pizzas and a spot on their patio makes for a perfect summer night.
