Places to Eat in Crested Butte, CO

It has already been over three months since I went to Crested Butte for the first time, and I’m itching to go back. It’s easily the coolest place I’ve been since moving to Colorado.

I already talked about a couple of these places in my first Crested Butte post, but I figured why not reiterate them so you know just how good they are.

Butte Bagels

Butte bagels is an adorable bagel shop tucked away on a side street with tons of character and phenomenal bagels. It’s the perfect mountain town bagel house, and I couldn’t think of a better place to start your weekend.

The Hideout

The Hideout is a fun spot right on the main drag with a great asian-style menu and friendly staff. I’m not the biggest fan of bao, but if it’s anything like their smash burgers, it must be incredible.

I don’t have any pictures of the interior, but the view from their patio is just as good.

Secret Stash

Secret Stash seems to be a staple of Colorado as a whole, since I always see people in Denver wearing Secret Stash shirts. In my opinion, the restaurant doesn’t seem to know what vibe it’s going for. The outdoor patio seems like a regular patio, but the interior is fully decked out with Indian (or another country around there) decor. Floor seating and all. But there’s nothing on their website or social media saying anything about the restaurant’s heritage or why they chose that decor, and both of the founders were born and raised in the US. It’s hilarious. It’s like Japanese people starting a sushi restaurant in Tokyo but filling it with traditional Germanic decor.

Regardless, the pizza is tasty and the margs are delicious.

This is just their patio. Even if you only ate on the patio you might never experience the cultural journey that is walking through the restaurant’s interior.
