I’ve actually golfed more this summer than probably the last six years combined, so I figured I’d share some of the courses I enjoyed the most. Colorado is a great place to get into golf because it has the prettiest courses I’ve ever played, and there’s nothing better than a nice round with some phenomenal views.

City Park Golf Course – Denver

City Park has an incredible view of the Denver skyline as well as the mountains beyond, making it the best course on this list for a twilight round. It’s also one of the best public courses in the area, with very well-manicured grass and fully paved cart paths. The course is full of par 4s so it isn’t too challenging, but the only drawback is that it can be tough to navigate and find the next tee box at times.

Kennedy Golf Course – Aurora

If you’re looking for a pretty chill course to play that’s relatively flat with very few sand traps and water spots, this is the best option. It makes for a super relaxed round where you don’t have to worry about losing any balls (if you’re as bad as I am) and you can just have some fun. They also have a nice par 3 course that is known to be quite fun.

The only downfall was that some of the grass was pretty brown and dry, but that could definitely be temporary due to the drought that we’re in.

Meadows Golf Club – Littleton

Sitting right up against the foothills, Meadows Golf Club is a beautiful course that’s very well taken care of with just the right amount of challenge. It’s slightly hilly with only a few bodies of water, making for a good test for players of all skill levels. Just watch out for rattlesnakes – we didn’t see any, but plenty of people we crossed paths with warned us about them.

Raccoon Creek – Littleton

Raccoon Creek probably has the best views out of any of these on the list. It’s relatively hilly, but the course offers great views of the front range and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, there are quite a few bodies of water throughout the course, so be ready for a good challenge and come with plenty of extra balls.
