Wow, I just realized how long it’s been since I made the last edition in this series. Turns out I found a bunch of new coffee shops in the time since, so it’s about time I extend the list.
Coffee Stamp
This is a really nice coffee shop in a not-so-nice area. It’s very aesthetically pleasing on the inside, with lots of wooden accents and small plants, and it’s a pretty intimate coffee spot. It’s small, with not a ton of seating, but it’s a really nice spot to lock in and get some work done.

Course Coffee Roasters
Even though it’s across the river in St. Charles, Course Coffee is still a very nice small town cafe worth visiting. It’s on the north side of Frenchtown and it’s built out of an old house, so there are a few different rooms if you’re looking for some privacy. Course is a good spot to bring a few friends and chill out, especially in the summertime when it’s nice enough to sit on their patio.
Crave Coffee House
This is a really cool hidden gem coffee shop that’s built out of an old church. It has stained glass windows and stone walls, but within that there is a nice cafe with fantastic coffee. It might just be my favorite new place to sit and relax with a good book.

HiFi by Upshot Coffee
Upshot Coffee’s HiFi location in Clayton is a fresh take on Upshot’s modern style, this time with a strong emphasis on music. The shelves are filled with hundreds of vinyl records, and the space is almost designed to feel like a music listening room. It’s a nice and intimate shop that really encourages your artistic spirit.
Sump Coffee
Sump Coffee is one of those establishments where it’s pretty hard to describe its interior design style, but whatever it is, it just works. It’s something like modern and minimalist but also grunge and heavy metal but also rustic. You just have to see it to believe it. Regardless, its coffee is fantastic, and it has a really cool interior that’s worth checking out even if you are just grabbing coffee to go.

The Wolf Cafe
Located in Ballwin, The Wolf Cafe is a super cool coffee shop with endless character, great food and even better coffee. The inside makes you’re feel in something like an artist’s mountain lodge, with interesting paintings, unique decor, and handmade designs everywhere you look. It’s one of those places where you can sit and look around for hours and you’ll still find something you hadn’t noticed before.
Zensia Coffee
Zensia is a really nice and pretty new specialty Colombian coffee joint in downtown Clayton, just down the street from HiFi. It has a modern rustic interior with really tasty coffee and plenty of space to sit and work, and it’s especially cozy in the wintertime.
