Top Places to Eat in Vail Without Breaking the Bank

Driving to Vail this past February for a concert was a life changing experience. Not only because it was during probably the biggest blizzard I’d experienced in my life, but also because it is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been to. It’s an absolutely stunning part of the Rockies, with tons of places to explore, mountains to ski, and sights to see.

Aside from this, it is also an incredibly expensive place to visit. So, here are a few places that I ate at that were on the more affordable side.

Loaded Joe’s – Avon & vail

Loaded Joe’s is a breakfast spot that I really liked with great coffee and some delicious brunch. It has a small-town feel to it, with a nice rustic interior, and it’s a great spot to have brunch before exploring the area. They also host a bunch of activities and events later in the day like trivia and karaoke, in case you’re looking for something to do.

I highly recommend their avocado toast and any of their coffee.

Pazzo’s Pizzeria – Vail & Avon

Pazzo’s is a great spot to stop in with a group of friends after a long day of skiing. Their pizza is delicious and reasonably priced, and what’s better than sitting inside on a cold winter evening with a hot, fresh pizza in front of you?

The Red Lion – Vail

One of the most famous spots on this list is The Red Lion in Vail Village. It’s a well-known bar and restaurant that’s been around for over 60 years, and whether you’re going there for apres-ski or just for a chill bite to eat, you won’t regret stopping by.

I didn’t get the chance to eat here, but I heard their nachos are to die for.

Vendetta’s – Vail

Vendetta’s is a nice Italian restaurant in Vail Village, with a fancier dining experience at a relatively reasonable price compared to everywhere else in the Village. It’s also one of the last spots leading up to the base of Vail Mountain, so the patio seating is a great spot for a nice dinner with a fantastic view. It’s a great spot for a date night, and I highly recommend getting a bottle of wine and watching the sun set over the mountains.

I hope you enjoy your time in the Vail/Avon area! It’s a phenomenal place to go year-round, and I highly recommend you pay it a visit.
