Food Recommendations in Ludwigsburg Germany

While Ludwigsburg is a very small town in Germany, it does have some great places for food. Here is a list of my favorite food spots, I’ve tried to mix it up and add a few different types of food, so here it is.

I apologize for the lack of photos, but I’m sure no picture I could take would do these places the justice they deserve.

Friend’s Burger Saloon

If you’re from the U.S. (or really anywhere else) and desperately need a break from the German spätzle and wurst and schnitzel, this is a great spot to grab a burger. Their burgers are delicious and many are in classic American styles, so this is a great spot for the homesick Americans.

Gyros Store

This small gyro spot has the best street gyros I’ve had on my travels. Every time I think about them my stomach rumbles. I might be a little biased, but it’s still a fantastic place to grab a gyro. Grab a delicious gyro and an ice cold bottle of Coca-Cola and you have yourself maybe one of the best meals ever invented by mankind.

Viva

If you’re looking for a place to have a fancy dinner or just want a delicious steak, Viva is the spot to go. The steak is amazing and reasonably priced (at least it was when I was there) and they have a nice patio so you can enjoy your meal outside. Or maybe they have a patio so you can escape the relentless summer heat that Germany loves enough to ban air conditioning. Either way, the steak is great.

Wok on Fire

This is a nice pad Thai restaurant on the border of the city square, with a nice patio so you can sit outside and enjoy the view or, in my case, people watch. The portions are nice and big so you don’t have to worry about not being full enough, and expect to have leftovers. In my opinion this is the best place to grab lunch in the summertime in Ludwigsburg.

Let me know what you guys think of these places, or if you have any other recommendations! Thank you all for reading and happy travels!
